Ephemeral Fragments is an electroacoustic chamber music trio with Florian Walter on tubax, Emily Wittbrodt on cello, and Korhan Erel on electronics. They played their first concert on April 29th, 2019 at Alte Mitte in Essen. They have released their debut album “mit gefühl” on Umland Records (vinyl and digital) in 2022. They will release their second album Thalassaphilia on IMPAKT Records in November 2026.
The three musicians, who are successfully and internationally active in multidisciplinary projects, contribute to the total sound by interpreting the potentials of their individual musican backgrounds, but without confining themselves in their respective borders. Their music is characterized by an enormous density of textures and depth in sound without wandering too far away from a solid sense of control and reduction.
Ephemeral Fragments have been awarded the Ensemble Grant by the Culture Secretariat of North-Rhine Westphalia for 2025-2027. They have played concerts in Germany, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Switzerland and Austria.
