Evimin Erkeği (Man of the House)

A satirical take on an address by the Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the nation in 2008, five years before the Gezi protests. Both video and audio were conceived by Korhan Erel

This is a work of mine shown at the “Hack Me in Intimacy” exhibition at Ark Kültür curated by Ceren Turan.  It features a jittery, frozen frame from the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s TV address to the nation in December 2008, and excerpts from this speech.
