Spam Victim is a side project of Korhan Erel. For this project, Korhan finds inspiration from the subject lines of spam email he has been receiving since 2006. The compositions range from half-minute doodlings to longer textures.
“As he refuge”, “Munitions Desert” and “Edinburgh trigonometry” as well as new music composed by me were used in the dance performance Frozen Dream in Istanbul in June 2014
Some pieces were adapted for Renae Shadler’s dance piece “Restore” in 2018.
Some pieces were used in the video installation 360 by Sharon Paz and Mikala Hyldig Dal in 2020.
