Concerts in August

August was supposed to be a concert-free month for Korhan Erel, but that is a very difficult task to achieve in Berlin, a city full of wonderful, curious, progressive musicians and artists.

Korhan is going to play two shows that feature singers. The first one is at Sowieso on August 6 with Erika Sofia Sollo (voice, electronics), Hui-Chun Lin (cello) and Davide Persanti (trombone). Korhan had played with Lin in Leipzig in June, but it will be his first-ever meeting with Erika and Davide.

The second concert will be at Bonobo Bar in the Greenhouse on August 12 with Korhan’s electronics-doublebass quartet, this time featuring the amazing Shelley Hirsch on voice, as well as the usual suspects Richard Scott on modular synth, and Meinrad Kneer and Klaus Kürvers on doublebass.
