Antje Vowinckel and Korhan Erel have been working and playing together since the summer of 2014. Starting out as an improvising duo, they have evolved their playing into a performance of political satire, where they teach each other words in German and Turkish, in the name of “Privilegierte Partnerschaft”, privileged partnership, which is German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s proposal for Turkey instead of full membership.

Antje and Korhan have performed this for the first at at Berlin’s Quiet Cue in the summer of 2015. They will now present an enhanced version of “Privilegierte Partnerschaft” at Berlin’s new exciting venue, Spektrum, on Thursday, February 18 at 20:00.
