The Liz have reached the end of their time... as they sang back in 2016 "till the end of it all" in the end song of their Book of Birds production. It was a blast and we want to go out with a bang. After creating three stage productions, playing numerous improvised concerts and composing for a loudspeaker orchestra, playing shows in Germany, Turkey, Norway, Switzerland and Brazil, The Liz will play their last-ever concert at @ausland.berlin tomorrow (25.03). The Essen-Cologne-Berlin-based improvising trio Ephemeral Fragments will open the night at 21:00. After The Liz's concert, there will be a small party. There will be food, cake, bubbly wine and for those in need of more booze, there is always Ausland's tiny but mighty bar. Feel free to dress up or down or left or right. Or simply feel free.
This non-binary robot, while enjoying their queer cake, wonders who your favorite 21st-century contemporary/new music composers are and which works by them caught your attention the most. You cannot suggest yourself, but can bribe a friend to do that for you. Make sure no one notices.
Wishing for and drinking to a future where we won't have to celebrate March 8 or any other day that is about any oppressed gender, species, and where any organized ideology, including religion, or any specific group of people will have absolutely no power over the planet and its inhabitants.
