Saadet Türköz
I will play a free-improvisation set with Zurich-based Kazakh/Turkish singer Saadet Türköz and Istanbul-based drummer Florent Merlet at Gitar Cafe on October 10, 2013. The concert will start at 9pm. Tickets can be bought at the venue and cost 15TL.
This will be Florent’s and Korhan’s first-ever meeting with Saadet. The two musicians have been playing concerts and recording albums together in Istanbul since 2006. One of their recordings, which also included David Brosset on vocals, was featured in the Below the Radar compilation by The Wire on the Istanbul scene. You can listen to that track here.
