On September 1, I’ll be playing the BUMMM! (Being Unique Makes Meaningful Music!) session for FLINTA musicians with Clemènce Manachère (flute), Laura Robles (bass) and Mariá Portugal (drums) at Rotbart, Berlin. This is a real jam session format, where the four musicians will open the evening with a 30 minute rehearsed set, which will be followed by a jam session with us included. So, if you feel like playing, bring your instrument. I assume there won’t be much time for setting up complicated performance setups, so be simple.
On September 10, I’ll propose soundtracks to experimental films by female filmmakers compiled by Dafne Narvaez Berlfein at Sentimental Punk, which is one of my favorite events in Berlin. The other player of the evening is Caroline Cecilia Tallone // K Lì on Hurdy Gurdy and electronics. The venue is Kotti Shop in Kreuzberg.
On September 16, I’ll play a solo set at Trixter in Berlin. Other bands playing the same night are Marina Cyrino/Matthias Koole, who are also the organizers/curators of the evening, and Music Penis Confusion, which is a duo with Seth Zhan and Damian J.
On September 23, electroacustic trio Lange//Berweck//Lorenz will perform my piece “Soundtracking” at the KONTAKTE ’22 Festival at Akademie der Künste in Berlin. The trio commissioned the piece in 2021 and has performed it all over Germany in the last two years. “Soundtracking” is my first-ever commission. Here’s the video of the trio perfoming it:
