Duo with Anaïs Tuerlinckx at Sowieso and solo at Sentimental Punk

DUO

I’m going to play a long-awaited duo with Anaïs Tuerlinckx at Sowieso on Friday, September 9. Anaïs and I had met while we were both playing in the improvising orchestra at JazzFest Berlin in 2017, and became fast friends and collaborators. However, we have never really managed to perform in a proper duo setting until now (apart from our rehearsals). This will change on Friday! Anaïs will also play in duo with Andrea Ermke on minidiscs.

1st Duo
Anaïs Tuerlinckx (string box)
Korhan Erel (Hydrasynth)

2nd Duo
Anaïs Tuerlinckx (string box)
Andrea Ermke (minidiscs)

SOLO

On Saturday, September 10, I will have the pleasure of playing at Sentimental Punk, one of my favorite series in Berlin. Sentimental Punk is the brainchild of film academic/nerd/cinematographer Dafna Narvaez Berlfein and takes place at Kotti Shop, Berlin. Dafna curates a fine selection of experimental short films by female filmmakers and invites musicians to propose live soundtracks to these. Each night has two musicians/bands playing to the same selection, which allows the audience to experience the same film selection with entirely different soundtracks.

1st Set
Korhan Erel (tapes, samples, effects)

2nd Set
Caroline Cecillia Tallone (electroacoustic hurdy gurdy, amplified objects, voice)
Uygur Vural (cello).
